While giving MPSC State Service Exam for the post of Deputy Collector, DySp etc., for that fundamental concept of candidates should be clear. For MPSC examination, the following common aspects necessary for preparation:
1. The first thing we have to check the syllabus and topics.

2. Download the previous year questions paper and analysis what types of questions they asked like factual, logical etc.
3. Next, we have to start from basic concepts. The school books (History, Geography, Economics, etc.) should read from 6 standards to 12th standard books (Maharashtra State Board, NCERT). This book easily clear fundamental concepts which are required to apply our mind to choose the right answer.
4. While reading books subject wise, prepare notes and revise daily for 1 week and then once in a month.
5. Read daily newspaper English or Marathi and make notes of current affairs. In English newspaper, you can read The Hindu or The Indian Express. In the Marathi newspaper, Loksatta is mostly read for competitive exam.
6. Visit government website like environment, budget, culture and reads out that reports because most of the time in examination, some question will be asked from those reports.
7. After finishing, reading of school book, read standard reference books.
8. Parallelly, we have to practice daily of CSAT topics for at least 1 to 2 hours (Paper-II).
9. Test practice from previous year question papers or mock test easily available on the internet also. Which is useful for us to analyse which area/topics, we weak.
